Heathmont Hornets is a founding member of the Ringwood Basketball Association. We are the largest and one of the strongest and most competitive in the GEBC (Ringwood and Nunawading) competition.
Heathmont Hornets prides itself on its inclusive and professional approach in supporting all children to enjoy playing basketball, develop team skills and attitude, and to strive to achieve their best, regardless of ability.

How To Register
Registration Day for a new season is usually held on the second or third Saturday of Terms 1 and 3.
At Registration Day you fill in a registration form, pay the nominated fees, order new uniforms, etc.
After Registration Day, any player who delays their decision to play cannot be guaranteed a position in a team.
If you have not registered you must contact the contact the Registrar.
If you cannot attend Registration Day then please send your payment to Heathmont Hornets P.O. Box 507 Heathmont VIC 3135 or place it in the Heathmont Hornets letterbox at The Rings (formally Maroondah Indoor Sports Centre).
We offer multiple payment options when submitting the "Player's Registration & Uniform Form".
Before the start of the season, you will receive a letter informing you of your team, coach’s name and training venue and time. Please make yourself know to your coach at the first session.
It is a policy of Heathmont Hornets Basketball Club that fees and uniform prices are affordable and are not used as a profit making venture.
Fees: $75 for 1st child
$60 for 2nd child
$45 for 3rd child
$30 for 4th child
2nd game: $35
Player Life Member Concession: $40
Uniform: $80 singlet & shorts set $40 shorts only or $50 singlet only (to be paid when order).

All coaches, players and parents are notified by mail of the training times and venues. Training is held between 4.30 pm and 9 pm Monday through to Thursday at our various training venues.
If there is any difficulty with the allocated training night and time, please let your coach know.
What is our Competition?
Since 2001, Heathmont Hornets has participated in the GEBC competition.
GEBC stands for Greater Eastern Basketball Conference and it is the combination of both MEBA (Melbourne East Basketball Association) and RBA (Ringwood Basketball Association). Over 30 clubs participate every Saturday in age groups starting at under 8’s and progressing through to under 23's.
There is a $2.50 entry fee for all players and spectators. An inter-venue pass operates between all venues if you have to attend more than one match. Please ask for a stamp at the stadium where you first pay.
A $35 team sheet fee applies each week.

There are two competition seasons per year.
Our basketball season generally follows the school terms.
Summer season is terms 4 & 1 (Oct to Mar) Winter season is terms 2 & 3 (Apr to Sep)
There are generally no matches over the school holidays or public holidays.
